      I think birds are fascinating because they show us so much about the environment. They are very sensitive to changes in their habitat, so if you watch birds closely, you can find out lots of information about what is going on in the ecosystem where the birds live.

      Lots of bird species live in groups and have very interesting social lives. So you’re never bored when you’re observing bird behaviour.

      Also, they’re the descendants of dinosaurs– and who wouldn’t want to study dinosaurs?
