That’s a tough one! But I’m a diver and I love being underwater, so I think I would choose to be a dolphin or another marine animal. It would be so great to just swim free in the ocean without SCUBA diving gear! Dolphins are also very social and playful.

Well what I’ve always wanted to do is explore the oceans so I’d probably have to say a deep-sea fish

I still secretly hope that one day I’ll magically learn how to fly, so I think I would have to choose some sort of bird. Probably a swallow or a swift. They look like they’re having fun.

Well, I love dinosaurs, but I’d also love to experience flight… Wait! Birds are dinosaurs!

I think that if I’d got here first I might have chosen a swift because they’re capable of such marvellous aerobatics, but Catherine beat me to it. I think I might choose a chough (‘chuff’). It’s a kind of crow which lives up mountains and along coastal cliffs. I’ve watched choughs riding and playing in the swirling winds many times, and they always look like they’re having a whale of a time.

I would probably be a blue whale. They are remarkably intelligent, and they communicate with each other through beautiful whistled songs. They migrate from the Arctic to the tropics each year and travel through all kinds of ecosystems. Because they’re so clever I think they must have very interesting lives exploring the ocean. Plus they can live to be 90 years old!
