      Although sharks often get into big groups when there’s lots of food in one place, they don’t really work together like other animals like dolphins do When big groups of sharks are hunting, they are mostly just hunting for themselves.

      When sharks want to mate, female sharks make certain chemicals which males detect in the water. Lots of animals make chemicals to communicate (e.g. to mark their territory or find a mate) and water is pretty good at spreading these chemicals around
